29 JULY – EMZI group, in collaboration with the International Islamic University Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah (UniSHAMS), successfully conducted the Wakalah Zakat EMZI during the closing ceremony of the Titian Entrepreneur Siswa program in Tanjung Dawai.
This event was attended by Tanjung Dawai ADUN, Yang Berhormat Ustaz Haji Haniff Bin Ghazali, and Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Student Affairs & Alumni of UniSHAMS, Dr. Akil Ahmad. Also present was a representative from EMZI Group, Ms. Yuszaiwani Binti Md Yusof, Head of Department, Corporate Affairs and Public Relations. This distribution was carried out simultaneously in three areas, namely Kuala Muda, Yan, and Kubang Pasu, Kedah.
Wakalah Zakat EMZI is organized with the aim of further alleviating the burden on families classified as ‘asnaf’, those who are entrepreneurs on a small scale. Through this program, 42 boxes of basic food supplies items consisting of rice, sugar, oil, and various other dry staple foods, have been donated.
EMZI Group is confident that every initiative taken can foster values of concern and togetherness within the community. Our hope is that this contribution can serve as an inspiration for spirit and positive change in the lives of those in need.
