SUNGAI PETANI – Alhamdulillah, on November 22, 2023, a handover ceremony of wakalah zakat mock cheque was held for EMZI Group by the delegation from Lembaga Zakat Negeri Kedah (LZNK). The event took place at EMZI Group Headquarters in SP Plaza Complex. The purpose of this ceremony is to entrust EMZI Group to distribute the wakalah zakat to the identified asnaf.
The mock cheque handover was officiated by Ustaz Mohamad Suraidi bin Saad, Chief Distribution Officer, accompanied by Ustaz Abdul Hadi bin Abdul Majid, Distribution Division Chief, Ustaz Burhannuddin bin Haji Ahmad, Wakalah Distribution Unit Chief, and Ustaz Mohamad Nur Salam bin Salleh, Assistant Zakat Officer of Kuala Muda, to the Chief Corporate Communications of EMZI Group, Mr. Roslan bin Mohamed.
During the visit, the LZNK delegation toured the office spaces, gaining insights into the importance and functions of each department and unit involved. Among the subsidiary companies visited were EMZI Technologies Sdn. Bhd., EMZI Logistics Sdn. Bhd., and EMZI Datacom Sdn. Bhd. The LZNK delegation also visited EMZI Care Pharmacy that will be opening to public soon.
This event marked an important moment for EMZI Group as it further strengthened the bonds and strategic cooperation with LZNK. In shaa Allah, the wakalah zakat distribution will be fully utilized by EMZI Group to fulfill our mission of aiding 1,000 asnaf.
