12 MARCH – EMZI Group successfully implemented the Wakalah Zakat Distribution Programme at MYDIN Hypermarket Gurun. The initiative was undertaken to extend Aidilfitri assistance to 42 asnaf students by providing them with the opportunity to purchase Aidilfitri essentials in preparation for the festive season.
The event was attended by EMZI Group’s Chief Financial Officer, Encik Abdul Fattah bin Md Eusoff, together with members of the Board of Directors. Also in attendance were the Principal of SMK Bedong, Encik Mohamad Nashir bin Ibrahim; the Senior Assistant for Student Affairs of SK Sultan Muzaffar Shah, Encik Mohamad Noor bin Ahmad; as well as teachers from both schools.
The programme involved 22 students from SMK Bedong and 20 students from SK Sultan Muzaffar Shah. With the assistance of 26 EMZI Group personnel, the students participated in a structured shopping session, during which they selected their own Aidilfitri necessities in an orderly and supervised environment. In addition, the students received duit raya from EMZI Group as part of the initiative.
The organisation extends its sincere appreciation to all parties involved for their cooperation and support in ensuring the successful implementation of this programme. The positive engagement demonstrated by the students reflected the spirit of compassion and community. It is hoped that the slogan, “Zakat Dikongsi, Kegembiraan Dirasai,” will continue to guide future initiatives and benefit more students in the future.
